I’m Polydina Flynt.
Visual storytelling through props, comics, and machinima. I’m a multi-disciplinary visual storyteller blending indie machinima, graphic novels, and production design. With a background in art direction and writing, I specialise in building surreal, emotionally textured worlds—whether through stylised props, haunted environments, or graphic storytelling. My work explores contrasts: softness and grotesque, precision and chaos, sincerity and horror. I design for feeling, first. I’m currently building a career in props styling, visual research, and production design, with a focus on animation, film, and experimental storytelling.
Open to remote collaborations.
🎬 Currently: finishing a stylised machinima short, developing a Collab TTRPG and several CCG rulebooks alongside a TV multiverse project, releasing a comic and two zines, building a Patreon/discord open-source art for entertainment ecosystem and crafting my visual identity portfolio for December 2025.
I have a national certificate in Television, Theatre and Radio from Aoraki Polytechnic in 2000. With work experience at the tv station (many years of video editing experience, at college I focused mainly on working with video so mostly analogue editing suites. With some KidsTV studio experience alone in the sound booth and operating the studio camera), work experience at the radio station (mixing, writing, programming, recording and performing ads; performing as a DJ; doing technical duties, and learning the mixing suites; and PR on the streets of Dunedin), and touring a children’s play we co-starred in and had co-written around local primary schools by bus. Then I completed a creative writing degree in screenwriting with a merit in short fiction writing by 2011. In October, 2013 I graduated from another degree level QUAL in 2d digital art and art direction. That’s when I started freelancing in web dev, cartooning and story coaching.
